BANKING & FINANCE
The Banking & Finance concentration prepares students to meet the demands of the banking and financial services industries, providing them with the skills and knowledge to function in both sectors. Students will gain a deep understanding of investments, insurance, credit analysis, personal financial management and international finance.
With Central Penn’s Banking & Finance concentration, students will be positioned to enter the workforce as loan officers, credit analysts, financial managers, planners or analysts, mortgage loan officers, branch managers, bank examiners, operations managers, compliance officers, commercial loan officers and commercial lenders.
HEALTHCARE ADMINISTRATION
Central Penn’s Healthcare Administration concentration immerses students in the public policies and politics that affect the healthcare industry. Students will become familiar with the various sectors of the industry and gain a deep understanding of the planning methods used within the healthcare field. The Healthcare Administration concentration will prepare students for administrative and strategic planning positions within all branches of the healthcare industry.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
The Human Resource Management (HRM) explores the complex roles and practices of human resource professionals and departments. Students will gain HRM knowledge and skills related to workforce training and development, effective recruitment and retention strategies, current ethical and regulatory issues in employment, techniques for evaluating and improving performance, methods to construct compensation and benefit programs, and labor and management relations.
MANAGEMENT
Central Penn’s Management concentration conveys various management theories, the relationships required between departments in companies, and the planning and information software used in today’s business world. The Evidence Is In Your Favor
At Central Penn, you’ll receive an exceptional level of preparation for a paralegal career or a pre-law education. Our curriculum––taught by expert, licensed attorneys––includes hands-on legal research and writing, law office and courtroom procedures, and case preparation including participation in a mock trial.
The job outlook for paralegals and legal assistants is very good. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is projecting 10% job growth for these positions through 2029.
As a Legal Studies major, you’ll learn how to conduct legal research… communicate clearly and effectively in writing with attorneys… gain a deep understanding on the rules of evidence… apply the laws of procedures to factual evidence… and much more.
American Bar Association (ABA) Approved
The Legal Studies program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). Non-attorneys may not provide legal services directly to the public, except as permitted by law. The ABA approval requires that nine (9) credit hours of legal specialty courses be taken in the traditional (face-to-face) format.
Limitation on transfer of legal specialty credits: Effective Summer 2022, students transferring credits into the Legal Studies bachelor’s program may not transfer more than 15 credits of legal specialty courses. Legal specialty courses are:

A minor in legal studies is available to any student outside the paralegal associate and legal studies bachelor’s programs.
The minor in legal studies is not approved by the ABA and is not intended to prepare students to work as paralegals.
Earn Your Law Degree in 5 Years
A new, innovative “2+3” agreement between Central Penn College and Widener University Commonwealth Law School will enable full-time students to earn a bachelor’s degree and a law degree in just five years, saving them significant time and money. Typically, it takes seven years for full-time students to complete a law degree, an academic journey that requires four years for a bachelor’s degree and three for a juris doctorate.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited educational program in their healthcare profession. They also must be credentialed or licensed and in good standing with the appropriate credentialing agency for their healthcare profession.
